Cancellation & Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid plans, subscriptions, and credits purchased on the Prospecx platform ("Prospecx", "we", "us"). It forms part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. Prospecx is a software-as-a-service product; access to features and credits is delivered digitally and immediately.
1. Plans, Trials & Billing
- Free trial: New workspaces may start a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial, and you can cancel any time before it ends to avoid being billed.
- Subscriptions: Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annual, as selected at checkout) and renew automatically until cancelled.
- Credits: Some features (such as revealing verified contact details and enrichment) consume credits. Credits are purchased separately or included with a plan and are consumed as you use those features.
- All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes (e.g. GST) unless stated otherwise, and a tax-compliant invoice is issued for every payment.
2. Cancelling Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time — from Settings → Billing inside the app, or by emailing us at hello@prospecx.in.
- Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. You will not be charged again after you cancel.
- Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.
- Cancelling does not, by itself, trigger a refund for the current period — see the refund terms below.
3. Refunds on Subscriptions
Because Prospecx is a digital service billed in advance, subscription fees for the current billing period are generally non-refundable once the period has started. We do, however, want you to be treated fairly:
- 7-day goodwill window (first-time subscribers): If you are on your first paid month and you are not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of the charge and we will review your usage and, in most cases, refund that month's fee where the service has not been substantially used.
- Annual plans: Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a pro-rated refund of the unused, full remaining months at our discretion, less any credits or value already consumed.
- Billing errors: Duplicate charges, incorrect amounts, or charges after a confirmed cancellation are always refunded in full.
4. Refunds on Credits
- Credits that have already been used (for example, to reveal a contact or run enrichment) are non-refundable, as the underlying data and processing cost is incurred at that moment.
- Unused credits: If you purchased a credit pack and have not used any of it, you may request a refund of the unused balance within 7 days of purchase.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email hello@prospecx.in (or use our contact form) with:
- The email/workspace associated with your account
- The invoice or payment ID for the charge
- A short reason for the request
We aim to acknowledge every refund request within 2 business days and to make a decision within 5 business days.
6. How Refunds Are Processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase, through our payment gateway. Once approved, refunds are typically initiated within 5–7 business days; the time for the amount to reflect in your account depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control.
7. What Is Not Refundable
- Fees for billing periods that have already elapsed.
- Credits or features that have already been consumed.
- Accounts terminated for violations of our Terms of Service (e.g. abuse, fraud, or misuse of the platform).
- Charges disputed via chargeback without first contacting us — we ask that you reach out so we can resolve it directly and quickly.
